AM Recreation
To maximize opportunities, youth may only be registered for AM or PM REC, not both.
Free T-shirts will be made available for youth registered by the end of Week #1.
Programs are generally offered Monday-Thursday with Field Trips on select Fridays.
Note: Separate registrations are required for Friday Field Trips and Special Events.
Youth must be registered for AM or PM REC. to sign up for field trips/special events.
Please be sure to add trips/events to your cart along with your AM or PM selection.

Once a registration is made, there are NO refunds... so plan accordingly.
Program Description
- AM & PM REC are for youth in grades K-8 as of September in the current year.
- Programs are generally offered Monday-Thursday with Field Trips on select Fridays.
- AM & PM REC are scheduled from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm, respectively.
- Included are 4-45 minute activities: Arts & Crafts, Gym, Sports, and Swim.
- Again, the order of activities is TBD by grade level in the forthcoming Fall.
- The program cost is $50/participant for the entire six week Summer session.
- Check calendar to confirm special event dates and times as well as exclusions.
- Participants must follow instructions of NRD Staff without disruption to others.
Arts & Crafts
- Projects May Include: Animal Creations, Magic Foam, Nature Crafts, Paper Mache', Recycling Projects, Sand Art, and more?!
- The program is offered Monday-Thursday; the time is TBD based on grade level.
Gym/Playground
- Activities May Include: Agility Ball, Capture the Flag, Four Square, Hop Scotch, and more?!
- The program is offered Monday-Thursday; the time is TBD based on grade level.
Sport of the Week
- Sports may include: Baseball/Softball, Basketball, Field/Floor Hockey, Football, Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, and Tennis/Pickleball.
- The program is offered Monday-Thursday; the time is TBD based on grade level.
Swim Lessons
- Program Includes: Swim Lessons and/or Open Swim as staffing permits.
- The program is offered Monday-Thursday; the time is TBD based on grade level.
- Participants must be able to follow all instructions of the swim staff/lifeguards without disruption to the class.
Trips & Special Events
- Separate registrations are needed for other programs, field trips, and special events. Please add them to your cart along with AM or PM REC.
- Please note: To register for other programs, field trips, and special events, youth must already be registered in the AM or PM REC Program.
- Some excursions may be walking trips, some require drop-off/pick-up at location listed, and some include school bus transportation.
- Due to space constraints, the number of participants for bus trips is capped as follows: youth = 51 and staff = 10 for a ratio of 5:1.
- Please note: Registration for field trips also starts on Monday, June 8th @ 8am.
